Contacting Inner Tuba
I'm Jon Hodkin. I completed my first Inner
Tuba Tour in
Leicester, East Midlands on 7th October 2000. During the preceeding
20 days I cycled
1,184 miles around the six counties of England's East Midlands
Region. I towed behind
me a trailer containing various musical instruments, most
importantly my tuba. I took
my Year of the Artist project to 42 venues,
including schools, hospitals, day centres,
residential homes, museums, parks and
city centres.
I was delighted by the
positive feedback from venues, the
press and media, and the many generous people who
helped me along the way. I have been
inspired to undertake more Inner Tuba tours, and
the development of musical and
technical aspects of Inner Tuba is ongoing...
