The puffer caught the chuffer with IOMSRSA

When a TubaTriker gets a day off from puffing his brass, he likes to let off steam….

So what could be better for a grand day out than a trip from Ballasalla to Port Erin on the amazing Isle of Man Steam Railway?

Jack (pictured above) has worked the Isle of man Steam Railway for many years, and is now the station supervisor. He confided in me that he’s been on the telly umpteen times because of his skill as a steam loco driver.

“I get stopped in the street all the time by people who know me – but I haven’t the faintest idea who they are,” he told me.

InnerTuba can readily sympathise with that – and InnerTuba has only been here a fortnight!

Special thanks to Ballasalla Railway Station , the Isle of Man Steam Railway Supporters Association (IOMSRSA for short!) and the delectable Doctor Okell’s IPA, brewed up the road in Douglas, for a perfect off-duty afternoon. 🙂 🙂 🙂
